The Poseidon® Shackle
The Patented Poseidon® Shackle is a safe replacement for traditionally used, heavyweight, steel D-shackles to attach slings to broken or bogged machines. With break loads ranging from 400t to 500t, (further sizes currently under development) and weighing only 12.7kg, five times lighter than the equivalent steel d-shackle, these high-performance shackles are manufactured in Australia with a Dyneema cover, then double braided with DSM Dyneema®SK75 for added abrasion resistance.
The Poseidon® Shackle is designed for attachment points with rounded edges, such as tow-points with pins or around the dozer ripper shank if its sharp edges have been slightly bevelled or worn down. Generally available within 14 days of order.

- Ultra-lightweight with a 510,000kgs MBS.
- Our biggest Poseidon® Shackle weighs only 13.7kgs which is 4 times lighter than the equivalent steel D-Shackle that weighs 58.68kgs.
- Designed for attachment points with rounded edges, such as tow-points with pins or around the dozer ripper shank if its sharp edges have been slightly bevelled or worn down
- Minimum recoil. In the unlikely event that the OEM rating is exceeded, there will not be any flying parts or slings.
- Stored energy is contained within the unique double over braided Dyneema cover and remains in one piece.
- Exceptionally low elongation, less than 5% over 500t.
- Ease of use, only one working part.
- Excellent UV, abrasion and chemical resistance.
